Richards Restaurant

This place is in my hometown. My family and I moved away when I was 9, now at the age of 29 I was able to bring my own family back to my hometown 8 hours away from our current home. I already knew before coming into Hartford that we had to eat at Richards. So thankful that its still there 20 years later and still top notch. Great food, fair prices, great service, and great small town atmosphere. My wife and daughter absolutely loved it as well.

Right on the southern edge of town, this restaurant serves up a tasty breakfast skillet worth generous portion sizes. Breakfast is served all day for adults, but oddly enough is time limited on the kids menu. Our waitress was friendly and prompt, checking with us several times to ensure our visit was satisfactory. The interior is a bit “worn-in”, but it definitely has that cozy and welcoming feel of grandma’s kitchen!

Update : NO ONE from ownership or management has ever replied to this, what does that tell you. +++++ We visited Richard's' today that we visit A LOT and always have the chicken dinner, we drive 40+ miles , today the chicken dinner was substandard, over cooked, white meat was very dry. We took it to go and feed to the squirrels. I talked it over with the Richard's manager Steve and he said we will look into it, that was the end of it, bottom line is you are EXPECTED TO PAY FOR A BAD MEAL! There was NO INVITE to come back, and we will MAKE IT RIGHT. FYI Richard's : You never get a second change to make a first impression. Especially in a SMALL TOWN. Looking for new place that takes care of faithful customer, clearly we are not one of them to Richard's.
