Rise N Shine

Three of us went there for breakfast. Everything was good. I had a special request for an omelette egg white cooked with olive oil, peppers, onions and mushrooms. I also had grit. They were really good. I only needed one little thing of butter and a little bit of salt so however they fix them. They did a really good job and wheat toast no butter. The wheat toast was toasted just right so that I didn't require butter on it. The service is great as our server made sure everything we asked for was done with the detail requested.

We stopped for a late breakfast. This restaurant has always sparkled our interest. They off a large parking lot with two entrances on two streets. It sits right on the corner. They offer indoor and outdoor dining. The restaurant is clean with tables, booths and counter service. The restaurant is fully staffed and friendly. Food was average in taste. Prices are typical.

Called in to place a pickup order and the woman I spoke with sounded angry and frustrated that I even called in. As soon as I finished saying my order she just abruptly hung up on me. When I got there the same woman I spoke with was sitting at a dining table working on the financial books for the restaurant. Now realizing she was the owner I couldn't believe how she handled my phone call. I acted overly excited when I greeted her just to see if I could get her into a more pleasant mood, but instead she let out a nasty sigh of frustration just to stand up and say hello to me. She then confirmed the type of toast I wanted with the 3 breakfast entrees I ordered, and proceeded to make my toast right there at the host stand. Gross. I had been here before and remembered having a good experience so I decided to order this morning. The lady on the phone didn’t have no enthusiasm while taking my order. Order was done very quickly. Now I got the waffle deluxe. I paid $18 for this meal. The waffle was disgusting. I’ve never had a waffle taste bitter like that. I couldn’t even eat it with or without syrup. It was also soggy. In a smaller container they placed a piece of ham two eggs which I asked for fried over medium but i did not like the consistency. one fat pork sausage and two strips of bacon which were so oily as in they had been cooked and sitting out. Honestly very disappointed, I could not eat the waffle. Do not recommend.
