Just spent an amazing weekend at The Red House Inn & Stables, in the finger lakes region of New York. Staying at the Red House Inn was the perfect decision. Beanie, the host, was warm and welcoming. His inn is situated inside a national forest! We walked out the door and immediately started hiking! The trails were secluded and amazing! Beanie prepared us delicious breakfasts. His inn is so cozy and warm. Built in the 1800’s. Unpretentious and down home. We will definitely be back! Imagine waking up and walking outside & seeing some horses, and at night, the stars…just beautiful. Highly recommended!

I just had a lovely stay at Red House Inn. The web page description is accurate. It is in Finger Lakes National Forest, you can hike right from the Inn. Although in the forest, its a good paved road to the Inn. The innkeeper provided an excellent and very generous breakfast, and was attentive to special requests. The Inn is basic, nice and clean, and has good wireless (spotty cell service). I appreciated the quiet and the darkness and the Fall foliage, and the rustic charm of a county inn. Hope to return.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Red House Country Inn. The Inn is clean and welcoming. The bedrooms are themed and very comfortable. The area is quiet for a great nights sleep. The dining room and living room are cozy for a relaxing visit. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Beanie is also a chef so our breakfasts were 5 courses and so delicious. They kept us full for our day of sight seeing the local waterfalls and museums. The Inn sits inside the Finger Lakes National Forest so hiking and horseback riding trails are right there.

We spent two nights with two small kids. The place resembles more to a museum, and the owners make it quite clear they don't really like kids. There were so many don't dos, and things we felt so uncomfortable, that we tried to spend as little time there as possible. It might be a lovely place for an older couple, if you don't mind you can hear everything from other rooms and share the bathrooms, but definitely not for families. I would prefer if the owner just said it outright when we booked, instead of something like kids are welcome, if they are supervised and well behaved and if we accept responsibility. The breakfast is home made freshly, but exactly at the time said, no flexibility at all in it, and it's more like a struggle every time you ask, like for some toast to go with the cooke

We found this B&B by accident, and it was definitely a great find. The rooms & bathrooms were very nicely decorated, comfortable, and extremely clean. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. Homemade waffles, fresh eggs, assorted muffins, fresh squeezed juice, and coffee. The owners were pleasant, and we will definitely be back! Located right in the heart of the Seneca Lake Wine Trail...
