Purple Mountain Bed and Breakfast

Friends from out of state rented a cabin outside of Crested Butte to house their extended family. We opted for an in-town B&B. It was a great location within 2-3 blocks from the main street filled with restaurants, cafes, book stores and shops; 2-3 blocks from the ski shuttle pick-up/drop-off, and within the heart of the Town of Crested Butte. The room was exactly as pictured and advertised. It just so happened the owner, Chris, met us upon arrival. They have off-street parking. His hot tub was perfect after a day of skiing. The room was stocked with robes, hot tub towels, a bottle of water, and hydration mix. The place is spotless. The sitting room and fire are welcoming and relaxing. Chris offers beer and wine tastings for guests interested at 5pm daily and sets out a nice hot chocolate

Purple Mountain is a delight, the property and owner are dialed in. Maybe the most convenient location in town - easy walks to Mtn shuttles and town! Nice hot tub out back, a very quiet spot for a soak. Chris puts on a great breakfast, highly recommended!

Chris and Mollie were superb hosts. The breakfast meals were delicious. The walk to Elk Avenue was only about 10 minutes and preferable to taking the shuttle like we did our last visit. The hot tub under the stars was a perfect way to end our evenings. Thank you!

Thanks to Chris and Purple Mountain, our first visit to Crested Butte was absolutely perfect: the location, our room, bed, shower...everything was the BEST. Chris's breakfasts were amazing, and he was super helpful with recommendations for restaurants, outdoor activities, and more. Meticulous attention to every detail is a real hallmark of the inn. Can't wait to go back...again and again!

My friend and I stayed at the Purple Mountain Inn for the first time a few weeks ago during the Wild Flower Festival and we absolutely LOVED it. From the thoughtful touches like the hot coco bar, daily happy hour, free bikes, comforting snacks, the hot tub, cozy music in the lobby and more, this has hands down become my favorite place to stay in CB. Chris and his staff were SO helpful with recommendations on hikes from the perspective of a local, and the daily breakfasts were incredible (one of my favorite parts of our stay was waking up to the scent freshly-brewed coffee every morning). Our rooms were spotless, quiet, and we made so many friends amongst the other guests. I can't wait to come back, and thank you again!
