Purple Carrot

Be VERY cautious of this company. The food is not bad. BUT, you WILL order and they WILL change the order to ship what they have. They have done this to me over 5 times. Today (02/25) was the final straw. Oh, also: I noticed the deliberate change today ONE WEEK before the erroneous shipment and they said (as they always do) that they cannot CORRECT the order. ONE WEEK in advance!!!!! Richard D

I really wanted to love Purple Carrot, but the experience kept falling flat for me. The meals feel repetitive, heavy on carbs and sodium, and surprisingly low in protein. Some dishes look great on paper, yet end up demanding way more time and effort than advertised. The pumpkin gnocchi is a perfect example, the recipe said about 50 minutes for 4 ppl, and mine dragged on for almost 90 minutes, and I am not exactly slow in the kitchen. Another tricky part is the automatic shipments. If you forget to update your box, you might end up with the burger patties that taste strangely off or that same pumpkin gnocchi that turns into an evening long commitment. There are a few bright spots now and then, but overall the service feels more frustrating than supportive.

I was thoroughly disappointed with Purple Carrot. The shiitake tofu dish had a repulsive smell, and most of the meals were nowhere close to what was advertised. The dishes were loaded with carbs—mostly pasta or rice—with minimal amounts of the other ingredients. On top of that, the flavors were incredibly bland. This experience felt like a waste of both time and money. I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone looking for quality or balanced vegan meals.

Amazing food! Always delivered on time as expected. So many options. I can’t believe this is not a 5 star review from everyone. I tried several food delivery companies prior to this and it was a nightmare. Late deliveries, missing food, no options for people who don’t eat meat! The list goes on. I am a huge fan of the cook it yourself PC meals they are delicious and so convenient! Purple Carrot gets an A+ from me.

Food is great! Recipes are spot on! Super fresh and easy to make meals that can always be modified to your liking. We have never have missed a delivery....everything has been amazing here so far in Kansas! People complaining may need to look at the delivery groups instead of PC. Seems that a lot of troubles mentioned in other reviews are coastal locations....just an idea.
