Pulaski County Library

Small local library that is very well kept and clean, quiet and pleasant atmosphere. We went for the Childrens section and the librarians and staff were welcoming and seemed excited to see a family with young children visiting. The Childrens section was a decent size with many different types (paper, board books) of books on a variety of subjects organized by interest for different age groups. Many books appeared to be new or added in recent years and some had “Vox” technology to help young readers read along. There are some toys as well for young children that helps with the attention span. They do have a small kid-friendly computer. Support your local libraries!!!

This library has a nice kids area and programs. The staff are friendly. Unfortunately, I don’t think we will be attending the story time any more as there are some aggressive and rowdy boys who are there every week. They lack discipline and respect for boundaries. Constantly putting their hand on other kids and distracting from the teacher. I have seen the boys grab kids by the hair and shirt, bite, hit with blocks and threaten other children. I understand it’s not the teachers fault, but the parent is not held accountable for the actions and stands by while these things happen. It seems like behavior that should be addressed for the safety of others attending the program.

small library, but ok; unrestricted internet; 2 hr time limit (extendable) on non-touch screen computers. If you put files on the computer's folders, you must delete them; logging out will not do it.
