Customer Reviews
The food was amazing. Just like always me and wife went on a quest for a good breakfast/brunch. We been craving some good benny and either pancakes or French toast. We tried Reuben Benedict(February special) and Farmer’s breakfast with a side of French toast. We enjoyed every bit of the food, a perfect brunch for Valentine’s day. We drove from across the town for this and totally worth it.
Great service with absolutely delicious food and drinks!!! The food comes out fast and the lines move quick. This is another excellent Portage Bay
Used to live across the street from this u district location I had never been Ordered the brisket dish Wow, the brisket was harder than clam shells Didn’t really enjoy this experience
At first I was a little put off by the need to have a reservation at a cafe for breakfast. Then WOW now I understand. The atmosphere is a mix between industrial and boho. The staff is friendly and fast. The food is outstanding.
Portage Bay is a chain of cafes in Seattle, the one in U District is pretty solid. The quality of the food is clearly very high, there menu ranges from sandwiches to breakfast stables to seasonal dishes like crepes and such. I personally have been here around 3 times, the environment is very very busy on the weekends, however the service is fast and attentive to whatever your needs are. I dont have a photo of it, but they have a toppings bar with some of the best whipped cream I've had - it also has a plethora of fresh berries. Overall great spot for brunch with the parents, I would recommend getting a reservation before you go for sure.
