This was a an amazing place, amazing vibe and atmosphere, matched with amazing staff and their friendliness , and absolutely amazing food to match. The thing i love the most is that they have dogs here that they show to adopt, i love it. Definitely a spot i will make a point to visit every time i come

Delicious sandwich! Got the BLT. They even spilt it up for us. We ended up here twice on our trip. Definitely recommend this spot! You can buy a whole or half sandwich

Good food. Good service. Great Great GREAT atmosphere. I and my dog are always made to feel welcome and it is such an easy place to hang out. Their causes are finding furever homes for dogs and keeping keiki fed. The Big Island is blessed to have Poi Dog Deli choose our community. Thank you!

My partner and I have been coming here for sometime now and often are met at the counter by Megan, this lovely woman has a smile on her face busy or slow, no matter the circumstances. It’s truly a joy to walk into this establishment between the fresh ingredients, the stellar atmosphere and the aloha behind their service. It will always keep us swinging the door at Poi Dog Deli and sending anyone asking for an onolicious sandwich to this gem of lunch spot.

This is a really unique, "dog themed" sandwich shop that has won the award for Big Island's best sandwich for the past 6 years in a row! The owners' love for dogs goes beyond the decor. They actually partner with local animal shelters to help find owners for homeless dogs. Instead of taking your name when you order, they give you a flag with the picture and name of an adorable shelter dog. And this is how your server finds you at your table! The vibes here are really positive with great music and happy, smiling employees. I ordered my go-to comfort food, the Hot Tuna Sandwich. They gave me a paper bag filled with popcorn to munch while I was waiting, and there's even a self-serve "buffet" of popcorn toppings to choose from!
