Honu Kai Bed & Breakfast

Amy is such a friendly and accommodating host. My boyfriend and I arrived at Honu Kai our first day on the island and the b&b was like a warm island hug. The breakfast’s are very carefully crafted, light and delicious. And the atmosphere is therapeutic. Thank you Amy for making our stay the magical one it was! .

Our stay at Honu Kai was magical. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by the warm aloha spirit that makes this bed and breakfast so special. The location is a short ride from the airport, but you are quickly transported to a tropical paradise. Surrounded by lush flora, this stay puts you in a magical oasis of nature with birds chirping and greenery all around. ||We stayed upstairs in the Lani room which was immaculate and thoughtfully designed, blending comfort with authentic Hawaiian charm. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the room had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Plenty of towels, full length mirror and a magnified mirror, makeup removal towels and the main toiletries of any resort (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, cotton swabs, tissues etc). We had a wonderful stay at Honu Kai! Amy was so welcoming and friendly, with great tips on where to go and what to see. We were in the Nigiri room and loved it. Comfy bed, great private patio, and a water feature right outside of our room. The breakfasts were delicious each morning and filling enough until happy hour! The location is so convenient to downtown Kona but out of the hustle and bustle. I was a little worried about the coqui frogs keeping us awake, but it was actually soothing and not a problem at all! We had an amazing stay at Honu Kai in Kona. Amy is a 10/10 host—so welcoming from our first call all the way through departure. The place was extremely clean, organized, and well cared for. We contacted several places while looking for somewhere to stay for a couple nights, and this was the only one we actually felt comfortable booking. Highly recommend. We loved our short stay at the Honu Kai B & B! ||The pictures say it all. Soothing, zen like accommodations amidst lush tropical surroundings. The attention to detail in our spacious, beautifully furnished room, the common area, and gardens was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. It felt like our own private retreat but it was fun to chat with other guests around the breakfast table each morning. A great way to start the day with Kona coffee, tropical fruits, and other island treats. ||Amy was the perfect host and we enjoyed chatting with her and the staff. In the common area she has even made available all those little things you may need to make your stay more enjoyable, without having to run out to the ABC store to grab this or that.||Honu Kai will now be our go to place t
