My husband and I shared: - Egg Bun - Ube Cinnamon Roll - Mango Pineapple Bun The egg bun and mango pineapple bun were both good, but the bread was a little bland. The star of the show was the Ube Cinnamon Roll. It's one of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had. I hate dry cinnamon rolls and this one was nice and gooey. It had a ton of cinnamon and a ton of ube frosting. I wish we had gotten there earlier to try the donuts and malasads, but they were sold out. I'd definitely come back to try more.
Great bakery! There was a lot of things to try on the island but we had to come by again before we left. The ube flavor in the cookies and the cinnamon buns is well balanced. It stands out in the pastries and is not overly sweet. Wish we could have tried everything!
I absolutely love this little bakery. So far the atmosphere is beautiful, and the customer service is wonderful. It makes it feel very welcoming. The Banana Bread with the butter and honey is to die for. it's dense, but soft and the topping just makes it so much more delectable than it already is. My husband and I loved the Quiches. I highly recommend coming to this place. The prices are reasonable. You'll get a very warm welcome when you come in along with good food.
Lele's is truly a GOURMET bakery! Other bakeries in Kona put the emphasis on sugar and food coloring. But Lele's seems to focus on quality, flavor and culinary technique. At noon on a Sunday, there weren't a huge number of items left. However, there were enough beautifully displayed sweet and savory offerings to make my choice difficult. I went with the pineapple/mango Sweet Morning Bun. It 100% broke da mouth! The pastry was so buttery and flaky! It was filled with the right amount of fruit filling that wasn't overly sweet. The tang from the cream cheese complimented the sweetness perfectly, and a bit of brown sugar crumb topping added a delightful crunch. This dessert was flawlessly executed. And the gentleman that helped me make my selection was a doll - just as sweet as the treats. I c
WOW. Each of the items I had was sooooooooo good! Pillowy, flavorful, fresh, etc. I had the I’ve cinnamon roll, pineapple mango malasada, and a savory egg roll with bacon and some delicious soft filling. and echo the sentiments from others about the friendliness of the staff and good vibes! Indoor seating has one table for ~5 ppl and a long bench which is fine for sitting
