My husband and I traveled to Kailua, Hawai'i on a work trip in March 2023 and Ms. Barbara and Mr. Lionel were such great hosts. This was our first time at a Bed & Breakfast and it was a nice experience! We stayed in the Tropical Studio room. Barbara and Lionel made sure that if we needed anything, our requests were met. Whenever we saw the hosts they were sure to greet us. They didn't hover which was super nice. Mr. Lionel noticed upon our arrival that the extension cord in the room wasn't working so he went out and bought another one, while we were out working the cord was placed on the table in the room, but none of our stuff was touched or moved so we didn't have to worry about any invasions of privacy. The sweetest couple own this place and are so attentive and friendly. The beds are super comfy. It's so quiet and private and better then any hotel. There's a pool and a tropical patio area with lounge chairs and table and chairs with umbrella. The place is so clean and we'll cared for. The owners are on site so if you ever need anything they are right there to help. Wonderful location. A term minute walk to the beach or downtown to restaurants and stores. Bus stop is right around the corner. There room was personalized just for us complete with an unexpected gift basket full of fruit with complimentary coffee and bagels. There's plenty of parking.

Barbara and Lionel gave us a warm welcome at their clean and quiet B/B. Our room was spacious, with a well-equipped kitchenette. Breakfast is not served in the regular fashion as other B/B’s. A basket of fresh fruit, including a delicious pineapple that Lionel cut for us, and bagels were on the table, with yogurts in the fridge. We bought some additional items that we prefer for breakfast and it all worked out well for us. Our bed was very comfortable, the bathroom and shower great, and there was plenty of storage space in the closet and drawers. An iron & ironing board, and even a broom and dustpan were provided. They also had a great travel book to refer to for trips on the island. Eating on this side of the island has limited choices if you are looking for fine dining. However,

We absolutely loved our stay! The owners were welcoming and even took care of our luggage for us after an airline issue. Bed was comfy and sheets were soft even on a sunburn. We had everything we needed for breakfast in the mornings and prep our snacks for outings. We were thrilled to NOT be in the Waikiki area. Traffic was non-existent and it was easy enough to navigate anywhere we wanted to go on the island. The best swim and sun beach on the island is nearby and there are lovely restaurants and many activities nearby. Bear in mind, you’ll need a rental car, but that gives you all the freedom to explore this beautiful island. We loved having our coffee and breakfast by the pool each morning. We loved Pillows in Paradise! We found the accommodations to be perfect for our family of 3! The rates are budget friendly, the rooms are complete, I can’t think of anything we missed out on. The self-service breakfast was a great way of being flexible and not having to have breakfast in a restaurant. Since we could decide for ourselves what time we would like to have breakfast and what we wanted to eat. We went to the local Whole Foods to purchase additional fruit and snacks. ||||The hosts were great. They made us feel very welcome. Beach mats, beach chairs, boogie boards were all available to borrow. It was too bad that we couldn’t stay here longer.||||Thank you for the wonderful Aloha feeling you have given us!
