Peppers Mexican Grill

We waited (under 2 minutes) to be noticed and seated. The air was rather warm (I'm always cold, so that's saying a lot.) Our server (didn't give his name) was quick, friendly, and appropriately attentive. 😉 The glass was dirty, which was concerning. Chips were hot, but unsalted. Salsa was average and they also brought ranch. Food was quick, hot, and ...average. I had the taco salad, which was quite small for $12. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their dinners. If i could give this location a zero stars i would. I ordered two "pick two" plates on doordash and my first "pick two" was tostada's that was SMOOTHERED in cheese when I request no cheese. Additionally and worst of all there was TWO BLACK CURLY hairs in the red sauce. I am absolutely disgusted by this location and their lack of cleanliness.

Typically the food is very good, however, the meat on the tacos was extremely salty. Not sure if they have a new cook, stick with original seasonings please. A little difficulty in communication with our server. Received flour shells instead of corn. I did eat what was provided.

The food used to be consistently good, but sometime last summer or fall it drastically declined in quality. All the enchiladas taste off bordering on inedible. Way too much salt has replaced seasoning and flavor. Many items not made according to description, or just forgotten. I used to get food here a few times a month. Over the last 6 months I have been getting it less than once a month to see if they have fixed their issues. Sadly no. This last time was the most disappointing yet. I am done giving them chances to correct course for a long while. Go back to whatever vendors you were using before last summer or hire cooks that know what they are doing. We have been to this Peppers location pretty much once (sometimes twice) a week for the past 6 months, at least in some capacity whether it being dine in or take out. The past 3 times we have taken out our food hasn’t been the best and our to go margaritas haven’t been right, asked for on the rocks and got frozen, wrong flavor - things that like…. This evening took it tho, we called and placed a take out order for 3 entrees and 3 margaritas…. We called and placed the order and the first problem was that we were told 5-20 minutes for everything to be ready so we spent 35 minutes from calling them at Kroger, we got to Peppers 40 minutes after placing the order and was then told it would be 30 more minutes because there were only two cooks….. why was that not communicated on the phone?
