Pennyroyal Cafe & Provisions

My partner and I had a fantastic time at Penny Royal! The space is beautiful and we were sat immediately on a Sunday around 2. Service was very kind and attentive. My partner had the Michigan blueberry pancakes with the seasonal smoked maple latte with oat milk. I had the smoked trout crepe with the same drink but hot. They were both delicious! The drinks were just as good. I am not really a pancake lover, but that bite I tried was one of the best I’ve ever had. Balanced, not too sweet and the blueberries shine. The smoked trout crepe and the hollandaise sauce with it was so flavorful and fresh. I felt like you can taste every ingredient in our dishes. We’ll have to come by anytime we’re in the area again!

Probably the best breakfast here. Drink and food were placed aesthetically and they were delicious! They have a great atmosphere and waitresses were nice. When we left we saw a lot of people waiting for their Togo order outside. I’m sure they have great pastry and we plan to come back again in the future if we are around.

Absolutely loved the drinks and the food! The cinnamon roll was the best one that we’ve ever had! The staff was extremely friendly and we will go back next time we visit. The birds nest hash and the sausage, egg an cheese sandwich was so good!

We had Saturday night dinner in October at Pennyroyal Café and Provisions. Although the evening was on the chillier side, we had reserved outdoor seating well in advance. When you arrive, the first impression is beautiful — a garden oasis with plenty of parking and a clear emphasis on sustainability (they have EV parking spaces.) Unfortunately, our experience began on a frustrating note. We checked in a few minutes early, were told our table wasn’t ready, and were advised we’d receive a text when it was available. We enjoyed a lovely glass of Pinot Noir in the small bar and market area while we waited, but after 15 minutes past our reservation time, we checked back in only to be told our table was still occupied. LOVE 🫶🏼 This place has the kind of food that’s down to earth but somehow feels fancy! The atmosphere outside is peaceful with mature trees, string, lights, and tons of seating with beautiful live music and some areas are even covered! The inside feels cozy and warm. Everything has a modern new chic feel to it. My server was fantastic and I would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for a fantastic lunch/brunch place!
