This is a dated house, but that is also what I love about it. It's like you're stepping back into time, a simpler kinder time. The staff are absolutely impeccable and accommodating. They all talk about the woman who owns the place and how kind she is to them and that it feels like they are at home working there. Apparently one of the workers actually moved in with the owner in transition to permanent housing. I love the kindness at this place and when employees are happy there's a certain kind of comfort that you can feel when you visit the place. The views are incredible you are right on the river. The backside rooms have a wonderful balcony and tables and you can people watch which I love to do. The other side is of the river which is also incredible and you can see Mount baldy. We alway
We really enjoyed our time at Bayside Inn. We were on the third floor with a nice water view. We ate the full breakfast each day and there was always some kind of quiche, fruit and bread, along with cereal/oatmeal options. They have a nice patio with several tables on it to enjoy also. The hosts were accomodating with our group, allowing us to play games and eat ice cream at night in the common area. Good things nearby include Saugataco (my favorite) and the Star of Saugatuck paddlewheel cruise. We enjoyed the arts and craft show in the nearby park as well. Unfortunately the chain ferry was closed for the season.
My wife and I went pm a winery tour most of the day then spent the night at the BaySide Inn. We had never stayed here before but found it to be very welcoming and a nice place to spent a night or two right on the Kalamazoo River. It is close to eateries and a host of shops in downtown Saugatuck. We loved spending time on the upper deck at the Coral Gables listening to oldies from the the 70's sung "live" by the guitar-playing musician.
My Wife and I have stayed at this Bed and Breakfast for a Number of years. We Love it! Excellent rooms and amenities, beautiful views,on the Kalamazoo River Downtown Saugatuck. Close to Restaurants and next Door to the Barge Restaurant which is Excellent. Near the Chain Ferry approximately 200 yards away. Wicks Restaurant about same Distance. Staff are Friendly and Pleasant. Breakfast is Great! Both Warm homemade dishes and cakes. Cereals Breads,Yogurt, Oatmeal,Fresh fruits and Coffee and Tea Dispensers. There is limited docking space as well so you need to reserve it ahead of your stay. Highly recommended 👌
Stayed in June. We loved the Inn. We had room 6. It was perfect. Loved our tiny private balcony. The breakfasts were very nice! Will ask for it on our next Saugatuck trip!
