Really good food. A local gem. The atmosphere is very casual. If you want to order food and alcohol you go in one line and if you just want food you stand in another line. If you just want to drink you can go directly inside and order alcohol at the bar. This feels like a local spot that got discovered and is now a hot commodity & a must see experience if you’re in New Orleans. You can take the cable car/trolley if you want that experience, too.

Parkway Bakery & Tavern is a true hidden gem and, in my opinion, they serve some of the best po'boys in the city. This iconic spot has been operating for over a century and is justly famous for its quality. I went with their Surf and Turf po'boy, which is a fantastic combination of their signature slow-cooked roast beef and fried shrimp. The beef is like a perfectly slow-cooked roast and it was really good! This version is a great revamp of their award-winning classics. Great customer service Pete, and Eric was so nice. Very friendly both of them. I really appreciate them telling me a little bit about the history of the restaurant. Thank you Pete, and Eric. The food was amazing had the James brown and sweet potatoes fries. Both was amazing. Parking is great here as well. Would definitely come back.

Omgggggg Parkway Bakery A Tavern has the best tasting Po Boy omg. The bread was so soft and the toppings were so amazing together. I'm so glad a made the trip to the store. Service was quick and order out in no time. The restaurant was clean and had and old school mix with modern feel to it. I would totally be back for a couple sandwiches..

An absolute must-try when in New Orleans!!! The food was unbelievably delicious and 100% worth the cost! It's a huge bang for your buck without sacrificing flavor or quality. It gets pretty busy, so be prepared to wait, but they have an amazing system set up to park and order, so everything moves seamlessly.
