Came on a spontaneous visit while driving by. So glad we stopped in. Super warm and friendly staff, great atmosphere, amazing food, generous portions and very reasonably priced menu. The halloumi had a great flavor mixed with the fig jam, bread perfectly grilled. The brisket was very tender and flavorful, rice was unique and delicious with the orzo mixed in. Will be back soon. Great work to Serkan and the rest of the staff!
I’m not sure what the recent reviews complain about! We live in such a fragile world where people get booty hurt about everything! To address some of those negative reviews. - the chili was 10/10 - the crab cakes weren’t “burnt” they were seared/crisped outside to add that final touch. - the pizza (Roadhouse pie) was delicious. - service was amazing, not only did we see our server many times, we had additional people on check on us. - clean bathrooms. - I never went to the original Onley Ale, however as a first timer, I found it charming and cozy! I’m sure the old one was very charming, but change is good. - parking was very easy. We did come on Sunday around 11:45am. When we left closer to 1pm there was still plenty of parking.
So glad this place is back open under new ownership! Moved to the area 5 yrs ago and it was always closed. Went this past weekend and enjoyed it a lot. Cozy atmosphere with a decent bar area and patio area to enjoy. We sat patio due to the wait. Huge drink menu and lots of delicious food choices. Can't wait to go back and see how this place flourishes in the future!
Walk through the doors you feel the structural bones of all the past incarnations of the Ale House calling to you. Welcoming you back. Like meeting an old friend after many years. Moving to your table it becomes obvious that everything is new and fresh looking. A "home at last" comfortable feeling sinks in as you sit at the table. I must say now that if you came here for the legendary Ale House beef stew, or chili, or Jose sandwich. Or even O&M bread. You will be disappointed. These are not found on the menu. RIP these old favorites. That said, the new owners did their homework. Building a new menu with items inspired by favorites found in other Olney restaurants. Small plates for appetizers? Burgers? Sandwiches? Crab cakes? Pizza? Even mussels! It's all here in one place. An impressive li
Great reopening, but the prices have increased but the quality of the food has increased subsequently. Had the burger and it was delicious alongside the brisket which was also really good. The crab dip was also incredibly good.
