I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Olde Nola Cookery. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by our server Jade and her trainee Shy. They were both so attentive and kind throughout our meal, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious. The gumbo was packed with flavor and the red beans and potatoes were a true southern comfort food delight. Each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, and it really showed in the taste. Not only was the food amazing, but the drinks were on point as well. The prices were very affordable, especially considering the high quality of the food and drinks. I will definitely be returning to Olde Nola Cookery in the future. Thank you Jade and Shy for such a fantastic dining experience.
We stopped by this classic little New Orleans spot tucked near Royal Street/Bourbon Street, and the vibe is exactly what you’d expect from an old NOLA restaurant—small, cozy, and full of that charming, historic energy. The ambience was honestly one of the best parts: it feels like you’re eating inside a piece of the city, not some big modern restaurant. If you’re walking around the French Quarter and want that “real NOLA” atmosphere, this place delivers. Food-wise, we went in wanting to try the famous local staples, but some of it just wasn’t a match for our taste buds. We ordered raw oysters served on a cold plate, and we gave it an honest shot—but personally I didn’t enjoy it, and most of my group felt the same. We’re simply not used to eating raw seafood/meat, so it was more of a “try
The food was flavorful and spicy like Louisiana. The drinks are strong. The service was perfect. The waitress address all needs and request. She might have been the best in the town. The restaurant is good for a small group 2 to 6 people. I highly recommend Olde Nola for authentic Creole food.
We came, we ate, we loved it! The service was great, we were a party of 10 and Alexis was our waitress. The food was spectacular... Gatorade Bites were on point and the Gumbo delicious. We also ordered PoorBoy and the fries were tasty too. The taste of New Orleans was also a treat! Recommend you come for some NOLA deliciousness.
The wait was a bit long but it was Mardi gras... we took a table out back which was actually nice because it wasn't crowded. The food was sooo good. The service was great as well.. I would definitely recommend and will be back.. we had fried alligator, fried oysters, red beans with fried chicken and gumbo... 😋
