A mix of what you'd get with a Western Saloon design with a distinctly Asian flair on the outside. Food here was ok, Sichuan-ish style but on the sweet side. Lunch specials come with a soda. We ended up having enough people to order from the main menu. Hot & sour soup was really sweet and not sour, and they had a nice trio of homemade pickles/kimchi which was probably the best part. Coriander beef was good, though, as a cold dish / appetizer. Well-seasoned and good portion. Chicken chow mein was ok, though noodles were overcooked in oil and falling apart (tough to eat with the chopsticks). They need to do the noodle even less al dente if sautéing with the sauce/chicken after. Griddle cauliflower w/ pork was on the sweet side instead of spicy. Scallion fish also on the sweet side and no
Had the Peking duck. It was really good and they were kind enough to demonstrate the proper way to eat it. I enjoyed the various pickled vegetables too. Food seems to be more on the side of authentic Chinese than "westernized Chinese food". If you are into authentic Chinese cuisine and friendly staff, then this is the place for you. Highly recommend.
Great service and atmosphere, place is clean. The counter lady won't treat you as a valued customer, she needs a bit more of customer service skills but it's alright. The food is good, I ordered the grilled beef brisket with radish lunch plate. Not much meat which was disappointing if you go by the menu photos, it was ok, had nothing of grilled but it was boiled instead, but still had a decent flavor. The meat pieces had a lot of gristle, which is not edible at all. They'll give you white rice which is ok and tasty along with cabbage. If you want Chinese fried rice you'll need to order separately which we did and it was good, but way very very oily. We also tried the spring rolls, they were ok, and the steamed dumplings were ok as well. Overall it was a decent meal and the waiter was very
