Unforgettable Lobster and Unmatched Kindness in Maine Our summer trip to Maine wouldn’t have been complete without a stop at The Lobster Pound, and it turned out to be one of our favorite dining experiences of the season. The whole setup is such a fun experience—my daughter loved being able to choose her own lobster straight from the tanks and have it prepared fresh. The lobster pasta was overflowing with tender, perfectly cooked chunks of lobster—no skimping here! I ordered the white fish, and it was easily one of the best seafood dishes I’ve had in years: light, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. What really makes this place shine, though, is the people. On our drive home to New Jersey, we realized my daughter had left her Beats headphones behind. One quick call later, and the team n
Best prices lobster with full dining room experience. Get seated. Order. Take your table number and Go outside and pick your lobsters. Then bring the ticket back in to give to your server. They cook it and precrack it for you perfectly. Server was running behind so we were waiting for butter and sides after the lobster arrived but the experience was great nonetheless.
Hands down the best seafood dinner we’ve ever had! The lobsters were absolute perfection—sweet, succulent, and cooked just right. All we had to do was crack them open and dip into clarified butter heaven. The steamers were incredibly clean—so fresh they didn’t even need to be rinsed in broth! Every staff member was friendly, attentive, and clearly knew their seafood inside and out. True professionals. If you’re ever in Ogunquit, this place is a must-visit experience! Just a heads-up—they’re only open Friday through Sunday from 5–8 pm. We lucked out arriving at 7:45 pm and still got a warm, welcoming experience.
The lobster was fantastic. The steak was cooked just right but was unseasoned. Skip the overcooked green beans. My wife loved this pasta dish she ordered.
This was probably one of the BEST places I've ever eaten at. I wish they were in Jersey! Everything was just so perfectly made, down to every single spice. I truly felt I was dropped into the Ratatouille movie eating the best food in the area. Food: We both had lobster bisque and then lobster fettuccine(mine with penne noodles and his with long noodles-the ones that are a pain in the butt to eat! We were so full after, but we wanted to try dessert so we brought it home. I had blueberry pie and he had some sort of 3 cake thing? Blueberry pie is a decent size and so yummy! I'd say we'd be back again for sure but the 8 hour drive in between us may alter those plans. Thank you for making amazing food we haven't had in a while!
