Off the Hook of Yonkers

Shot Out to this hidden gem and shot out to the owner Avian!! Grandma (from Brooklyn) wanted some soul food so since I now reside in the area, I've been wanting to try this spot.... I placed a large order for pick up... *Crab Bites, Fried Oysters and 3 Large Salmon Dinners, with yams, greens, and Mac n cheese. The portions were huge! And let me tell you, believe the hype!! Gigi APPROVED! She wasnt even talking just enjoying her food! 🥰 Food was BOMB! Avian and his family most definitely know what they are doing here. Now, Gigi gonna want a plate every time I go visit her. 🙏🏼❤️ Plus, I'm the type to travel for food and I agree this spot hits! From my familry to yours thank you again for the outstanding service and amazing food!!

Lovely dining room with laid back atmosphere and careful attention to detail. Service was beyond terrific, and the food was all I could have hoped for. Fish and chips were rich with flavor but not over fried; collared greens were just right. Hush puppies a must, and the lemon cake absolutely as advertised by our very kind waiter.

I came here on a date and had no expectations whatsoever. The interior is really nice and cozy. It almost feels like you're in someone's home. We were greeted by the waitress at the bar and got to sit wherever we liked. There were two other tables seated as well. We were given menus and water and quickly decided what we wanted to order, but we ended up waiting about 15-20 minutes after getting the menu to actually place our order. Our waitress seemed busy with the other tables. We ordered the Catfish Nuggets and the Jerk Chicken Egg Rolls to start. For entrees my date got Jerk Chicken Pasta with Grilled shrimp, and I got the Po' Boy Sandwich with Jerk Chicken. After we ordered, it took over an hour for us to receive our appetizers. My husband and I really enjoyed “Off the Hook”Restaurant. What a nice friendly restaurant “wow”! 👏👏. The food was delicious and fresh! We both had steamed Whiting with sides (see pics) which were so fresh and delicious. The salad portion was a nice size too.

Oh my goodness! Joe and I came here to this cozy spot for a comedy show tonight and had a such amazing time! Not only was the comedy hilarious but the food was delicious! They offered a $40 pre-fix menu which included an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. I indulged and got the crab bites for my app, the fish and shrimp combo for my entree and the carrot cake for my dessert. I also added a side of hush puppies, because why wouldn't I?! The food was DELICIOUS and they gave us so much to eat I ended up leaving with my lunch for tomorrow. Our server Brandon was a one-man show I watched as he took care of every single guest on his own while also manning the bar, and he didn't skip a beat once! They have another comedy show March 13th and I can't wait to come back with more people to share
