Caribbean Soul Food delight

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while. When I first heard about it, they were in the process of transitioning to a new location, so I had to wait until they got settled. Even now that they’ve reopened, the hours seem a bit inconsistent, so I’d recommend checking Google before heading over. The place itself was clean, and the owner was friendly, which I appreciated. I ordered the fried whiting with rice, mac and cheese, and cornbread. The rice was good, though a little mushy for my taste. The whiting was good and nicely cooked. The mac and cheese was also good and enjoyable. The cornbread was interesting the texture was different from any cornbread I’ve had before. It wasn’t bad, but I don’t think I’d order it again. Pros: - the lady at the front (I wanna say maybe the owner) was so NICE! Very warm and welcoming. Definitely giving auntie vibes but was very kind to my family and I. - the lemonade was so good! I loved that it was a full cup of juice instead of a full cup of ice. Very tasty! -Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes were soo good! -food was made to order so it was fresh. Cons: -menu is a little pricey in my opinion. I get it, There’s not many soul food places in the area so you kinda get what you paid for but that was kind of rough. I got the chicken chunks plate (which comes with 2 sides but to have the chicken sauced it’s an extra $4) , an additional side of collard greens and a lemonade, spent $50! This is a take out Caribbean soul food restaurant now located in Yonkers. The food is absolutely delicious!!! I got the Chicken Rasta Pasta and my sister got the chicken chunks with Mac and cheese and yams! 10/10 highly recommend!! Food is amazing. The lemonades are 🔥🔥👌🏾.

I ordered two oxtail plates with rice & peas and sweet potatoes, plus a jerk chicken Rasta pasta. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The oxtail was cooked perfectly—tender, rich, and seasoned right. Portions were solid, not skimpy at all. The rice and peas hit the way they’re supposed to, and the sweet potatoes were a standout—soft, flavorful, and just straight up good 🤤. The jerk chicken Rasta pasta was fire too. The chicken-to-pasta ratio was on point, and the jerk sauce paired really well with the creamy pasta sauce without overpowering it. You could tell care went into it. Overall, great food, great portions, and everything tasted made with intention. I’d definitely order from here again.

The owner is very kind and sweet !! Food is very good like a home cooked meal. LIVE DJs On Fridays which is a nice vibe. The lemonade is sooooo good I got the blueberry one and I wish I can buy it by the gallon. Great menu with a lot of delicious choices. The yams is like someone grandma is back there! They have jerk Mac & cheese 😱 the cornbread is sooooo moist and just melt in your mouth! The turkey wing was nicely seasoned and was the best im still thinking about it. Love the sticky sauce that came in my boneless chicken chunks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
