Oak and Anchor Restaurant

The first several times we had meals there since the new management came we were disappointed. However, this past Sunday we tried it again after hearing a good recent review from friends. We enjoyed our experience this time. The food was good, service was excellent and the atmosphere is always exceptional thanks to the view. Kudos to the management and staff! We will return and recommend to others.

Went for their Friday night dinner and the meals were very good. My husband had the soup and prime rib and loved them both. He asked for the smaller cut of prime rib and it was huge. Cooked exactly right .... rare. I had their fish special, a barraunda, which I had never heard of before. Outstanding! Very light fish and sweet. I was given 2 fairly big pieces. Also great polenta and squash. Meals with 3 drinks were $56.00. Waitress was fantastic. Personable and on top of everything we requested. Definitely go here. We have also gone for lunch and the brunch and the food is fantastic! Love the new management.

Well, we tried the "new management" at the restaurant today. Perhaps we'll give it a few months before we visit again and hopefully they'll get settled in. While we waited 25 minutes for the cheeseburger we were patient. Then it arrived and we were told there were no tomatoes because they were out; also apparently out of lettuce because we had spring mix on the burger; also told they were out of pickles for the burger but a sliced kosher dill was on the plate. The cheeseburgers were ordered medium and they both came out rare. Once they were returned to the table 20 minutes later, the server told us the whole plate had been prepared new - not true. The knife slices on both burgers where we had cut into them was still there - they had just been placed on new buns because the old buns wer

New owners and just opened 3 weeks ago. Food was amazing, burgers are a must try and service was excellent too!! Sunday Breakfast buffet had everything and was excellent... Was so full, and the buffet is every Sunday now. Really a must try restaurant!!

We love this place both summer and winter! Small staff so be patient! Worth every minute, enjoy the views over a drink while waiting on your meal. I will admit the burgers are phenomenal and the specials are incredible. The breakfast sandwich is also a must try!
