New York Corner Deli

Overall a cute place for breakfast. I was expecting more of a diner place but it is order your food at the deli counter and they will bring it to you. Seating is either on the first floor but limited, outside at picnic tables, or upstairs. Not super comfortable but I guess in the end, that isn't the be all end all. Three of us had French toast and bacon. Bacon was overdone for my taste but if you like crispy, this is for you:) French toast was good but ordinary. One of us had an egg and cheese on a bun with hash browns. Again, good but ordinary. Bun was a kaiser with poppy seeds which I don't really associate with a breakfast sandwich and the hash browns were the kind you get at McDonald's. Can’t get enough of their eggplant parm sand. Everyone thinks that they are an expert when reviewing a NYC deli. In the 19 years I’ve been visiting Surf City I always come to the deli. I enjoy the breakfast just fine but I reeeeally enjoy the overstuffed sandwiches- which they are! Wish we had one of these in Raleigh. Let the haters hate- that’s what miserable people love to do.

Doing a happy dance on my restaurant stool! The pastrami on rye was so good! My husband had the NY style hot dog as it was top tier! We loved our food and experience here. We will definitely be back!

Man this is such a great place! Never had such a good Reuben. I’m convinced that the negative comments have never actually been to a NY deli. Definitely ignore the bad reviews and get you some!

as a new yorker who just moved definitely the closest thing to a real deli in the area, service is always great, super clean and they have a bronx menu which has some NY favorites. nice spot for easy lunch.
