New China Chinese Restaurant

Our food was not edible. We threw it out. The General Zhaos Chicken was awful. I am not even sure it was chicken. The egg dropsoup awful. Egg roll barely okay. Pass this place by.

Food was okay. Sesame chicken tasted and looked like it had sweet and sour sauce on it. Wasn't at all what I was expecting.

When I say New China is my GO TO Chinese hookup in Powhatan! I’m not kidding when I say I have burnt out my boyfriend from Chinese food cuz I eat here at least once, if not, twice a week. Service is always fast & friendly! I LOOOVE their cheesesteak egg rolls (5 for $10 not bad at all!) & I always get the Happy Family dish 😋

I went there during lunch time, the beef fried rice was very good and the highlight of my trip. I also had the chicken teriyaki which was a little overcooked on the outside but was moist and tender on the inside but didn't really have any flavor. The spare ribs were horrible they were extremely hard and tasted like they had been cooked two or three days ago.

Quick food that is very consistant. The staff here is always very nice to deal with. Good portion sizes for a very reasonable price. The Philly cheese steak rolls are really nice and a good break from traditional menu fare. Definitely a good place to try out many things in the menu. I've never ordered something I did not like here.
