Speedy Gonzales Tacos & more

Pretty good food, friendly staff and fast service, we had tacos and supreme nachos. Weather was nice so we was able to eat outside on the picnic tables.

I just happened on this place. It is small and not very visible from the road...adjacent to the Valero station. I had the shrimp tacos and flan. It came with chips, salsa and generous portions of rice and beans. Both tasted fresh and authentic. The sauce on the tacos was absolutely delicious. Flavorful with just enough heat not to overwhelm the perfectly cooked shrimp. The flan is homemade and so creamy. It melted in my mouth. Try this place, it was very clean and you could see the food being prepared. There is some some seating but take out seems to be the core of the business. I will go back...probably 2 or 3 times a week! It was that good!

The food is always delicious here and the staff are just the best. After not placing my order and going to pick it up 😅 I waited in my car once it was placed. I lost track of time and the kind staff brought my food out to me. Too sweet! P.S. Their horchata is the best I’ve ever had at any restaurant!!

The food here is authentic Mexican fare. The portions are large and good for 2 meals.Oscar has excellent customer service. He will pleasantly accommodate your requests to assure that you get exactly what you want. I recommend you give Speedy Gonzales in Powhatan a try!

Quesiabirria is absolutely amazing, love the variety of sauces. Chips are good and the salsa, a white sweet dip would be nice to complement the spice. **update: unfortunately had to lower the rating as I found a long hair in the middle of my burrito. Please use hair nets if not already.
