Napoli Pizza

Wow. Heard great things about this place and it held up to the hype. The pizza was cooked perfectly. Crusty and crunchy on the bottom and chewy at the same time. Got a slice of the square to try and it was excellent as well. Definitely in my top 10. The Italian hoagie wasn’t anything to write home about but it wasn’t bad.

Tonight I ordered a Sicilian pizza togo. Once I received the pizza it was a THIN crust not thick as advertised. I spoke to the male who was the manager and was told that he's having trouble with the dough rising due to the heat and humidity. The toppings and sauce were good but the crust was hard on the outside and and struggled to cut it with a knife. The lady at the register was nice and friendly. This did not meet the expectations of a Sicilian pizza.

Pizza is a very personal thing. If you like an Ironborn style pizza (that place in the Strip), with a thick chewy crust that has light, stringy cheese that looks like the ones in TV commercials and light sauce, then this is for you. This location's been around forever. 50 years by my count, probably longer. I stopped by to get a slice of plain, and then got another. If you can, ask for a corner slice. The plain's done Sicilian style so it's cut into squares. I sat down and felt like I walked back three decades. Wow, what a nice surprise. We were looking for a pizza place right off 76 as we passed through PA. The food was much, much better than the 4.3 ave rating here. Everything had excellent flavor and very large portions. We will definitely stop again on future trips. Worth a visit!

In town visiting from Ohio and need a place that delivers. Do we choose Napoli pizza. The crust is a little too thin but the sauce is great and the toppings for the price could have been more. All and all not bad pizza.
