The Meadows Original Frozen Custard

Yummy! While on our June summer road trip with our kids, we were in the mood for something sweet and decided to try out The Meadows for their famous custard. We were not disappointed! The building is very welcoming from the outside. All painted with ice cream cones and Adirondack chairs sitting around. In the front, you have tables where you can sit outside and enjoy the air. Inside you have tables and chairs in a brightly painted, cheerful room. There is also a life-size connect 4 game where the kids can play. My son and I enjoyed a game while eating our custard. It was a busy day, but the workers did great. They were very friendly. We all went for the original vanilla and we’re very impressed. I loved my waffle cone! I love Meadows frozen custard! I've been there many times and have very rarely had any complaints. The custard is delicious! My husband always enjoys their Italian ice or gelati too.

Came in 45 minutes prior to closing. The staff clearly didnt want us to be there. They had started putting ice cream away so a lot of menu items weren't available. We were reminded several times that they were closing soon and they clearly didnt want us to be there. Ice cream/yogurt wasnt that great. Not very welcoming staff.

I was extremely disappointed in my visit tonight. The service is why I am writing this review. As a frequent visitor, the flavors are what draws us in. Unfortunately, sometimes the flavoring is hit or miss. The pumpkin tonight was delicious. The apple cinnamon yogurt, not so much. When I tried it, I did not care for it, even though it’s one of my favorite flavors. It was lacking flavor and tasted too much like vanilla ice cream. I asked the young boy at the window if by any chance I could exchange it or something else. I honestly expected him to say no, and I would have been OK with that. But he answered with yes I could, what would I like in place of it. I said pumpkin. He said no problem. I said are you sure? He said yes. He took my cone. I was thrilled and shocked.
