Monroeville Public Library

I am aware that this is a public library, it is open to all. Make note this is not my issue. The decorum of the library is more a party atmosphere. Perhaps the computer area could be moved to MORE QUIET area. Working on a very important project, it was difficult to concentrate. I decided to leave. People were talking w/elevated voice levels. I was unable to complete my project. Two people left with me. Walking to our cars, they stated their concerns about the noise level. At no time did any Library staff request anyone to lower their voices. As I stated it's a public library, for every one to use, however I believe people should be conscientious and polite to others. Not all patrons are there for recreation

This is one of the most wonderful libraries! I always bring my kids to spend time and play in the children’s library. There are TONS of books, a giant connect four game, cool toys, a drawing area, and there’s always activities for the kids to do. We absolutely love it here and everyone working is always so kind and lovely.

What's not to love about this place? Maybe it's too far for some people but honestly, worth the trip if you are in Allegheny County! You can borrow Cricuts, sewing machines, and KitchenAid Mixers! There is a makers lab with a quilting arm and 3D printer! They've got great programs for kids AND adults! One time we saw people making rugs! I can't forget Read To Dogs! Their family programing is out of this world! Really glad that we make the trip to spend time here! Definitely one of our Top 3 favorite libraries!

The staff is polite and eager to help. 👍 It's a comfortable, pleasant facility. I always enjoy the art show gallery and the different artists on display. I added some photos from the show on 11/29/2022.

✴️ Updated August 15th, 2023 Lovely little place. Btw, TY! 500K views! You can rent Roku sticks and DVDs 📀 and for those of us that are remote workers, there's a private meeting room to take calls. A wall of yearbooks, and cabinets of historical Monroeville. Who doesn't like the library? Even Ron Swanson likes books. You can pick up handy volumes on carpentry and boats⛵. I know these days it's really easy to get the content whenever you want. But the original version of advertising is the age old page turner. There is something magical about dropping digital for a bit and in its place, something else you can hold like a phone, and swipe just the same. But that's real. And you should go. And get a book on something, and tune out for an hour, and give your eyes a gentle wash of words
