Come here to fall in love with banh mi, milk tea and the cookies! They bring so much care to your experience. “Hi how are you?” is what’s said upon entry!
Tucked away on the ground floor of the New Orleans BioInnovation Center, this unassuming banh mi and bubble tea shop stands out for its fresh ingredients and well-crafted sandwiches. I ordered two banh mi to go, which were quickly prepared. The garlic aioli paired nicely with the BBQ pork and pickled vegetables, and everything tasted fresh and well balanced. The baguette was slightly dry and could have used a bit more flavor, but it held up well. The space itself is simple and clean, with a nice glass wall art installation visible from inside that adds a touch of character to the otherwise minimalist setup. Overall, a solid spot for a quick lunch on the go. Would return.
Mr. Bubbles Cafe makes bahn mi sandwiches seem effortless. Their ingredients are crisp, fresh, and mix together deliciously. The combination sandwich with two types of pork is especially satisfying, and the lemongrass tofu is a great vegetarian choice. The downside is the sandwiches are a bit dry so expect to need a drink.
Mr. Bubbles is fantastic! We went here to celebrate a friend's AmeriCorps graduation and the Banh Mi are wonderful! The grilled pork is so tender and so much flavor. We also got the spicy curry tofu soup, so so good. They know flavor and the bubble teas are so good. So many flavor options and the lids are so cute. The staff is so friendly and helpful! We will definitely be going back anytime we fins ourselves on Canal St.
Unique healthy options! I had many poboys in life and this was my first lemongrass vegan poboy! Really, it was great with a unique flavor. Also like the various tea options too. I will be back! Of course they keep it N.O. Style with the king cakes too!
