Moulin Rouge House B&B

We decided to take advantage of local places this year for a birthday celebration. We had the entire Moulin Rouge House to ourselves. The porch light was on along with other lamps. It was so inviting. The Christmas tree in the front window glowed with beauty so we accepted the invitation and sat to take in the beauty and wonder about all the stories the walls must hold. We had muffins and juice/coffee waiting for us in the morning. Thank you to the owners for all the love and work put into restoring this Mankato treasure.

I had a wonderful stay at the Moulin Rouge in the Moulin Rouge suite! The house is absolutely stunning inside and out and the restoration was done with such a keen eye for detail and authenticity while also modernizing the facilities. The beds are very comfortable and the decorative touches give a homey feeling to every room. The location is an easy walk to sights and dining as well. My friend and I were lucky enough to be there for the four-course Sunday brunch which I highly recommend! The food was delicious and we enjoyed getting to know Chris and our fellow guests so much. Everything about this place is warm, inviting, and thoughtful. Would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I wanted a unique experience for 25th anniversary celebrations. We chose to get away to this beautiful B&B. The accommodations were excellent and the service was excellent. The house itself it is incredible after viewing the before and after photos, very special.

My friend and I loved the relaxed atmosphere at Laven House. The beds were super comfortable and the whole house was very clean and beautifully furnished. We appreciated the continental breakfast although it could have done with some restocking by the 3rd morning. I did text about that and they responded immediately. The hosts very kindly provided a place to park our bikes. Lincoln Park is a very nice neighborhood within easy walking distance of downtown. Don't forget to tour the Betsy-Tacy houses a block and a half away!

Chris and Kristin deliver a top notch experience at a wonderfully preserved Historic home. The many breakfast selections and great reads throughout the house made us feel right at home.Spent many hours just taking it all in.Nice location and seamless access made this a place you want to tell your friends about!
