Mochi Mochi

I’m so glad I found a bubble tea shop in Mankato that captures the authentic Taiwanese flavor and texture. I can even choose the sweetness level and sugar amount! The donuts and egg tarts also remind me of when I used to go with friends in Taiwan to buy Mr. Donuts and KFC’s Portuguese egg tarts (yes, for some reason KFC in Taiwan sells egg tarts). The cream puffs are also delicious, and you can really feel how much care the owner puts into the quality of the food.

Place was cute and cozy, the staff was really nice too. Me and my friend went there for some green teas and their chocolate donuts. I like how they add bits of the fresh fruit into our drinks, and the donuts were super good too! The tapioca is really good too, definitely will be coming back to try out their milk tea! I already devoured mine and my friend had already eaten half of her donut when I took the picture lol. It's also fairly cheap too compared some other places I've been. Also not a far walk from campus either.

The shop was cute and decorated from floor to ceiling, but some of the decorations and plushies felt not very clean. I came at somewhat busy time on a Friday and it looked like there was only one person working. I only had one person in line in front of me, but it still took 8-11 minuets to get one drink. A large group of people came in shortly after me (enough that the place felt slightly crowded) and though the employee saw, she didn't appear to have any sort of hustle or urgency to get drinks out. The mango tea that I got (at 70% sugar) also tasted bitter, akin to when tea gets brewed wrong or pith overwhelms lemonade. The mochi donuts looked good, but I didn't try any so I can't say for certain. Overall it was a cute place, but enough things were off that I don't think I'd go back.

Wow! Just wow!!! Definitely try the signature fruit drink, 25%sugar option. Flaming brown sugar tapioca was a winner. The donuts were fantastic. Strawberry picky and the Cookie butter. Service-excellent! We will be back soon.

The best bite in Mankato! If you find yourself in Mankato, do yourself a favor and make a beeline for Mochi Mochi Donut Shop. Trust me, as a New Yorker who's sampled countless donut shops and boba spots, this place is truly up there among the best. The mochi donuts are deliciously chewy and light, and the egg tarts and custard puffs are just as amazing. But here’s a surprise: the latte was amazing—strong and delicious, making this a must-visit for coffee lovers too! The prices are wonderfully affordable, and the atmosphere is cozy and cute. Combine that with the friendly staff for a truly elevated experience.
