Great food and never disappoints. Worth for the price with too many toppings and also vegetarian options. I got the burrito bowl which was pre-cooked and they filed it up with toppings.
The food is always at the proper temperature and the portions are generous. Pretty clean and their salsa bar is always full. Only gripe I have is it’s always freezing inside! In the summer, the air is on full blast. In winter, the heat is barely turned up, if it’s even on! I guess it’s because the kitchen area is warm so the staff doesn’t realize how cold the dining room is for customers.
I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with this place. If I could give it 3.5 stars, I would--but since that's not an option, here's why. On a good day, this spot really shines. The portions are generous, and the free extras--especially the unlimited sauces--can genuinely lift your mood. The new carnitas are actually pretty good, and while the free chips aren't great, I'll never say no to them. The seating is almost always available, which is convenient--but that's probably because it's rarely busy. The downside is that the overall vibe can feel a little lifeless. The staff often seem tired or disengaged, which takes away from the energy the place used to have. I used to be mildly annoyed when they'd yell "Welcome to Moe's!"--but now I kind of miss it. Overall, it's not a bad spot. W
After reading that Moe's was considered #1 of 11 Mex fast food joints, I was pleased to find one nearby. I got the stack with brisket, a large free serving of chips and hit the amazing salsa bar with roughly 10 different sauces to try. Wound up taking half the huge stack home, so that's 2 meals for the price of one. I will return.
This moes is like every other one, consistent, good food at a cheap price. Edit 5/24/25 I've been to other Moe's, while all are pretty much on par with each other, the Edgewater location is the cream of the crop Moe's location. Sunday's kids eat free, not every Moe's honors that. They give you extra chips even if you've finished what they've given you, not every location does that. Edgewater location is always generous with the meat. It's the best Moe's of all of them.
