Customer Reviews
The vegetables are colorful and fresh, as is everything else. Spring rolls appear to be homemade, the hot 'n' sour soup is rich in flavor and silky smooth. Our favorites are Kung Pao Chicken and Szechuan Chicken. The last time we ordered a pork dish (June 2024), they skimped on the protein, which was little slivers of dry pork. Regardless, Ming Garden remains our go-to American Chinese takeout restaurant near the Bywater.
We order here pretty often, so it’s obviously not bad at all. My spouse is always happy with the broccoli chicken. I love the Thai curry shrimp, always delicious. Half the time the Szechuan tofu is great, perfectly crispy tofu in a lightly spicy thick sauce with good veggies. The other half of the time the tofu comes pretty soft/soggy. I also wish it were spicier, I’ve tried ordering it extra spicy but ultimately just add chili oil at home. My kids don’t recommend the boneless ribs, my spouse said they were ok but don’t reheat well. The spring rolls are exactly what you’d expect, I’d love a couple more veg appetizers but I know that’s asking a lot. Ultimately it’s a very respectable takeout choice.
Food was quick, big amount for a decent price at least in today’s world. (will have leftover for lunch and maybe even dinner again) General Tso’s chicken was pretty yummy, got plain fried rice with it. Rice was decent, plain indeed but honestly prefer that instead of way too salty.
DO NOT. I REPEAT. DO NOT! Order food from this place. My entire family has gotten sick from their food. My one year old threw up as well as my son and husband. We love Chinese food, and passed this place by. We ordered the shrimp fried rice, lo mien, gen tso chicken, and it was a huge disappointment. I had to stop my son from panicking. My daughter is currently still ill. The crab Rangoon had little to nothing in it. The French toast was burnt. The rice tasted as if it was mixed with chemicals. I ask of you to please have higher expectations when it comes to choosing who to eat from. I will never try them again and anyone who asks me about them I will wholeheartedly tell them to stay away. I wanted so bad to enjoy the food but that was $60 in the trash. Called them to let them know so that
The portions are amazing exclamation. Poi've already had two meals and will probably get a third out of what they sell you! The dinners are well seasoned and flavourful. The hot and spicy soup is some of the best I have ever had
