Mi Casa Azteca Mexican Restaurant & Cantina

This is our got to place. We eat here at least 3 times a month if not more. Quick, food is great & it's out of the way from other restaurants.

Always a good spot to stop and grab food & drink in Mathews county.

I’ve eaten here maybe 5 times in the past year. Always friendly, efficient service, moderate prices and exceptional cuisine.

Food was just ok... Ate here twice and both nights the chips were chewy stale, and our regular soft shell tacos were just as stale. Service was good and the drinks were cold and refreshing. But their food could really use much needed improvement.

Mathews on a Saturday in the Summer is hopping . At the local Mexican restaurant Mi Casa Azteca things were active .. I got the feeling the drinks were good but I only saw them I didn’t try them . As for the food the portions were a good size the salsa was spicy.. I found the food average though.. the service a bit slow. Often you need to try a few things to discover their best dishes.. the locals seemed fine with it all.
