Mexi-Wing I (Downtown Athens)

We came around 4:30 and it was empty so we were able to be seated immediately. Our waitress came right up with menus and took our beverage order. She was getting a lot of to go orders and door dash orders at once but was still very quick to get us our cheese dip and chips and take our orders. Always love coming to the downtown location; great service and delicious food. Next time you come to the downtown mexiwing, tip the servers well- they deserve it!

This place was great. The staff was awesome. The food was amazing! I got the Speedy Gonzales lunch combo, and my wife had the lunch chimichanga. Both were great. The chips and salsa was very good and tastes very fresh.

I ate lunch there today and was pretty disappointed. The place looked like it needed to be heavily renovated. There was 1 waitress and 1 cook running the whole restaurant. Whatever food inspector gave this place a 97 grade must have been blind. Because the kitchen was filthy. The lunch Pollo Loco was about $2.00 higher than other local places, especially for the quality and amount of food that we received.

The food is mediocre at best the rice tasted like sauerkraut and the food have very little to no flavor the salsa tasted like canned tomato sauce the tamale was rubbery. Our server was amazing and took good care of us even though she was the only one in the whole place

My family loves this place! We always have the best service and the waitress is absolutely the sweetest. She even knows what each of us orders since we go there so often.
