McMenamins Power Station Theater & Pub

We enjoy checking out new restaurants that McMenamins locations have to offer. The menu has some very good items to choose from. It was not very busy when we came in to sit down to eat. I did think that it took a little too long to come to our table to welcome us and take a drink order. The food was good.

Our server greeted us with in a few minutes. We received our water with in a few minutes also. Our server was happy, kind and took our order, perfect all around with our server. Our food tasted good but should have been hot when it came to our table. Well it was an hour later when we did get our food so maybe it was just sitting on a counter for a while. Every time we come here to the Pub the cook must go as slow as they possibly can cooking then decides to wait to put it up for the servers. I say this because every server we have when we come in always apologetic for the wait on our meal. Oh yes and quite a few of the tables were empty at 1:00 when we came in. Really wish the pub would fix this problem

Server was incredibly kind and used the celiac button on my order to note my food allergy to the kitchen. However, because I ordered something from the specials menu, no one was informed of what was or wasn’t safe for someone who can’t eat gluten. I ordered my burger with the celiac note and the server confirmed it was gluten free. After I took a bite, my friend mentioned the sausage patty is described as being made with one of their beers. When I asked the server about this, I was informed neither the chef nor kitchen manager could find the ingredients box for the sausage patty on my burger. They offered to remake the burger with a normal patty. I ate it and it was delicious. They had the manager come over and confirm with me that the new burger was gluten free and my burger was comped.

We were there for a wedding reception in the attic, so we didn't spend any time in the actual pub or movie theater. The area was beautiful and the catered dinner great. It is a cool campus of sorts with all kinds of things on the property.

We were recommended to visit McMenamins Edgefield while in the Portland area and I'm glad we did! Such an awesome campus full of different bars and restaurants. We ate at the Power Station Pub and it was delicious - loved the space and great service.
