Maxi's

The most perfect, quant little diner. Would definitely be in an episode of Gilmore Girls. For breakfast, we love to get the massive Chloe’s pancakes, cooked with a warm runny egg and bacon in the middle of the pancake. Even with a small seating area, they got our party of 10 in fairly quickly, and we were all served quickly. Some of my favorite classic indulgent breakfast food!

I’d give this place another shot because the server and host were both really friendly, and it definitely has that family-friendly, local vibe. My over-medium egg on my hash came out more like “lightly scrambled,” and when I asked about it, my server said it was over hard—apparently that’s when they break the yolk. I’m pretty sure that’s not right, but she knocked $3 off the bill without me even asking, and I’m sure she would’ve been happy to redo it. The potatoes were a bit overdone for my taste, but my son actually liked them. Overall, we said we’d try it again for sure.

Dropped in here on a sunday morning as a pit stop on way to canada. Plenty of free parking right outside. Was much busier than expected but they managed to get us a table after only a 10min wait. Our waitress was fantastic, the food was amazing, the fries were incredible. If you want a real dinner experience this is the place, highly recommend.

Great brunch spot in Waterbury! It has a nice classic American charm! There was a little bit of a wait since they were quite busy. They have bar seating options as well as table seating. We ordered the spinach omelette and sweet potato burger. They were very good and definitely hit the spot. Service was fast and friendly, pricing is good.

We had a wonderful experience at Maxi’s! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was just as impressive. Beth was an amazing server: friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome from start to finish. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Maxi’s to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service.
