Market Street Inn

My husband and I spent a few days at this little gem in late September. Quiet, out of main traffic but close enough to walk five minutes to any restaurants or the carriage tours as well as the local grocery store. Taxi service is available to other places on the island. This was our first stay but won't be our last. By accident, we were in the family suite and we will definitely request that again. A beautiful little lower level set up with kitchenette, private bathroom and a small seating area and a separate bedroom. After a busy day of walking and a lunch at the cupola at the Grand, we took the opportunity to pick up a couple of cans of soup and snacks and stay in our room for the evening during a downpour for Monday night football. The sofa bed in the living area would be perfect

Brian, Liz,Barb, Paula and Josie are the best at making me feel at home. They go above and beyond on every level. Their kindness and generosity keeps me coming back. I never want to leave once I get there. It's truly the BEST place to stay on the island.

We arrived at the B&B late morning and we were fortunate that our room was available for us. This gave us more time to explore the island, as this was our first visit to Mackinac Island. |Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by Brian and Liz, the property managers. And, all employees we encountered were very pleasant and helpful, providing information about the location, room and amenities provided in this beautifully renovated Victorian home. As we were celebrating a wedding anniversary, in our room we were surprised with champagne glasses, sparkling juice and a small box of chocolates. A lovely and thoughtful gift!|We had requested a queen room on the second floor. Room was nicely furnished. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom was small, but adequate for our stay. Water

We spent two nights here and had a fantastic stay. The location is perfect—just about 100 yards from Doud’s Grocery and only a minute’s walk to Fort Mackinac. Breakfast was a full, healthy meal—definitely not your typical basic continental fare. We stayed in Room #6, which had lovely views and featured a quiet, high-end wall-mounted AC unit, a ceiling fan, and a TV. It was very comfortable. The bathroom was completely renovated and felt brand new. The parlor still holds its original charm and truly feels like a step back in time. The inn as a whole has a warm, welcoming character—we absolutely loved it.

This is a wonderful B&B. The hosts are very kind and accomodating. I love the fact that we could get in touch with them anytime, if needed, but they weren't constantly in our business - which sometimes happens at a B&B. The location of the house is perfect. It's close to everything and just a short walk from the ferry dock. The room was very comfortable and spotless and breakfast was delivered to our room, which was wonderful - both in convenience and deliciousness! We enjoyed some peace and quiet out on the back patio which we found is in perfect alignment to see the bugler playing from his spot up at Fort Macinack. We had a lovely time during our stay at the Market Street Inn.
