I've been saying for some time that New Orleans is one of the best pizza cities, and Margot's reinforces that statement. Sourdough pizza at its finest! So far I've had the Bianca, Supremo and the Puttanesca, and they are da 💣. The Caesar salad using whole crisp leaves, with shredded pecorino Romano with a cream sauce with a hint of lemon. It's pairs so perfectly with the pizza, really makes it the perfect experience. The house salad was also exceptional, really enjoyed the buttermilk dressing and shredded dill. What I really love about Margot's is the venue itself. The owner lives upstairs in a super trendy neighborhood on Frenchman street in the 7th ward. The entire block is comprised of all these beautiful Nola homes, all unique and beautiful. I've been in New Orleans for 12 year
Our experience was not good. We ordered margarita pizza with olives toppings. First we got the order without olives after being told they just added the olives and reheated the pizza making all its sides burnt and hard. Also the hot sauce we asked had a mold on it. We were visiting the town and it was so disappointing, we had to go somewhere else to have dinner afterwards. Their bruschetta sourdough bread is good.
Yummy wood fired pizzas and salads. Reasonable prices. Special pizza of the day every day.. the one I ordered was insanely spicy tho, hard to eat and I have a high spice tolerance.
This place started out as an alternate to an original plan, and has become a staple. The knots, burratta, and ANY pizza are all phenomenal. Like sourdough? This is your jam. I will forever come back when in town. Fantastic cocktails and chill atmosphere as well. Bartenders and servers are as welcoming as they get. Get you some.
Classic, delicious sourdough pizza. Well baked and nice crust. The whipped ricotta side is 10/10 for dipping and they have the best garlic knots I’ve had. Forgot our drink in the to go order hence the 4/5 but honestly was so good and the staff friendly. Vibe is more quiet and luxurious so a nice different energy:
