Mama's Shawarma

Recently tried the gyro platter from this food cart and the serving size was massive. The rice was great, but unfortunately, everything felt overly salty. Both the meat and rice were loaded with salt, and it was hard to finish the whole platter. A more balanced seasoning would be better.

Mama's Shawarma was a great place to eat at the food court in downtown Hillsboro. It was really good and delicious; I'd never had anything like it before. I got the Chicken Arabi. It sort of has a pickly, sour, and savory taste to it. I would definitely recommend it. They also give you tons of fries, perfect to share with two people if needed.

Extremely mediocre, overly salted, middle eastern food for people who don’t know what it should taste like. Falafel was mushy, lamb wrap was just a gyro wrap, fries were soft…and everything was insanely salty.

Came because of the reviews but found the meat to be more like taco seasoning flavored meat raisins that had been cooked and reheated several times. The dolma was sour and very strange.. not the normal sour.. but the bad sour. Rice was okay. Hummus was pretty thin.. Im trying not to leave a bad review but I'm afraid, if I'm honest and truthful it was just... Meh.. I really hate that it was 25 bucks worth of food. If we had paid 12 for it all we would have expected the food to be what it was.. meh. So I guess the food was... Okay but it cost 2x what it should have.

I had a great experience with this food cart. The food was delicious, and the portion size was amazing for the price — it was enough for two people! My order was prepared very quickly, and the customer service was excellent. I’m very satisfied and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!
