Main Street Restaurant & Bar

I had never been here before. Friends had suggested it as a change from our normal stops. A place that they had not been to in a while. What a great surprise. A typical family style pizza style restaurant. We had a sweet waitress. I loved all the food that I tried... The marinara sauce, the meatballs and the house special calzone were all excellent. The marinara and meatballs were superior to the ones I had recently had at Longo's Restaurant. The old fashion cocktail was a complete miss, but that is ok. Water with lemon is a healthier beverage for me anyway. I will definitely be back for dining in and take out.

This place hit it out of the park! Great food reasonably priced. This is a great value! The meal surpassed my expectations. At a time when many restaurant chains advertise wonderful pictures of the food but you know what your going to get isn’t going to be close. Main Street Restaurant and bar does it right!

I've had quite a few Italian subs before but this place became my favorite! It was truly one of the best take outs ive ever had & im a few miles away will be back again they are friendly and you get a great sub for the price. I will try there pizza soon

Great food and friendly staff. Our appetizer and dinners came out quickly, even though the place was packed! Nick Bosse played acoustic guitar which added to the great atmosphere. Definitely will be back again!

Last night I was traveling and stopped down because I can get the grinders the way I got them as a child with cabbage instead of lettuce. I have eaten here numerous times when my son traveled for For sports or gotten takeout when I've traveled down to Pawcatuck. The food and the service has always been great. The atmosphere has always been great. Last night I was so excited to be able to get my grinder with cabbage. I was very disappointed and sadly now I am turned off the grinder I have loved for my whole life. I asked for it not to be toasted. I got it with another grinder got back to my daughter's apartment in New London the bread was hard it had been toasted the cabbage was browned on top and some of it cooked and some of it not. I had requested my grinder not be toasted. Hope the cook
