Love this place!!!! Sometimes they’re super busy on the weekends and I don’t like to go just before they close because selection isn’t there but they’re usually really nice. Of course today I had to repeat myself several times to the girl who was getting the lobster. I was frustrated because they let five people ahead of me. I said some thing to her at the third person they let ahead of me and she didn’t even try to get me help so maybe that’s just the one girl because usually service is good. She must be new because I’ve never seen her and I go every week. Oh that being said, one time the credit card payment system was down and I had to go across the street and get cash so maybe bring cash so you’re not inconvenienced if something like that happens. Lots of variety, but not always the freshest or local. We go there for live lobsters mainly and have never had a bad one.

Great selection of fresh caught seafood at great prices. The already made lobster bisque has generous portions of lobster in it and is delicious. Customer service is also very friendly and helpful.

Large selection of fresh, local seafood at the best prices in our area! ***Edit*** We loved buying the hand picked lobster meat as it spares us the cooking mess. A few months back, we bought a pound. We saw that it had mostly dry shredded meat. I spoke with the manager, and she was very apologetic and prepared another pound for us! A few days ago, my wife went in to buy another pound. The girl was arguing with a customer about how long he must wait for it to be ready. She then asked my wife what she wanted. She told her to come back in an hour and immediately shouted, "who's next?" My wife said that she wasn't finished. The girl abruptly said, you can get it when you come back and again turned away and shouted who's next? My wife returned upset. My wife later returned to get our seafood. T

If you want fancy displays and a Newport “experience” then this is not the place for you. If you want an authentic New England fish market, run by really nice people with incredibly fresh fish at really reasonable prices then you should stop by.
