Mad Mary's Gift Shop & Soda Fountain

A nice place to stop in Joseph for frozen treats with a classic soda fountain shop. The menu offers milkshakes, frozen yogurt, sundaes, dole whip and many other treats with a wide variety of toppings. I did have to wait to wait a few minutes for service as nobody was working the counter. I selected the banana dole whip and sat down to eat. The dole whip was smooth and not really sweet. The shop features counter seating, a checkerboard floor and lots of chrome. A gift shop is next to the soda shop and has a number of interesting things to look at. Located on Main Street (Wallowa Lake Highway) in Joseph near West McCully Ave. A nice place to stop for soda fountain treats such as banana splits and ice cream with friendly service in a classic soda fountain.

A must see stop for the serious shoppers. Mad Mary’s has everything! Amazing home decor, kitchenware, toys, holiday decor, clothes, candy, and everything in between. Large shop has everything! Has the best 50’s diner that serves the best eclectic sodas and ice creams. Always a must stop for the Joseph, Oregon experience!

Arrived into town from Boston. Great place to grab souvenirs for the trip. I couldn’t get ice cream for the road but there’s always next time! Customer service was excellent! Picked up a few gems from the shop!

Really cool milkshake bar! Retro and really clean, and the gift shop right next door was great too!!

Ignored. Entered on a Wednesday afternoon, no one waiting to be served. Two employees doing their busy work and never acknowledged us for the five or so minutes that we waited. We left and took our business somewhere else. Several ice cream flavors were empty.
