La Laguna

Because it is Ash Wednesday, I choose a vegetarian dish. I was expecting a somewhat bland and common experience. This is not what I received. The proprietor served the dish and the accompanying margarita. This was followed by 2 bottles of a La Laguna concoction. This took my meal experience to the next level. When you visit Joseph, Oregon, please make this your destination restaurant. You are not going to find this anywhere else in the World.

I was definitely not impressed... Ate here Saturday 9/27. Gal that sat us at our table was very snappy with us. I asked if we could sit outside in the shade and she remarked that the shaded table was for big groups only meaning we could either sit in the sun or eat inside. The way she said it was just very rude. The waiter we had was nice but also kind of snappy as well. My sister asked for a vegan burrito and he tried convincing her to get a different burrito that wasn't vegan. She asked for a specific sauce on the burrito and he told her they couldn't do that because it wouldn't taste good. She asked if they could do it anyways because that's the way she wanted to eat it and was told no. He said he wasn't going to do that because he didn't think it would be good. Jose was the absolute best server we have ever had. So much energy! So much zest for life! The food was wonderful, but Jose made dinner unforgettable!

Believe me when I say I never leave reviews but this place deserves more than 5 stars. The food was pretty good. When my little brother asked for a cheeseburger at Mexican restaurant they gave him a crabby patty gummy to start and then gave him a real burger. The waiter is the best comedian I've ever met. 10/10 would recommend.
