M sushi is very good. I had the Grand Omakase and the seared scallop, the black cod and the Wagyu beef were excellent. I really enjoyed the mackerel nigiri as well.atmosphere is a bit loud with many people ordering a “choose your own adventure” Sushi/ Maki dinner which makes for a very busy atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back. Oh, and the Matcha Basque Cheesecake is delicious.
My newlywed husband and I went to M Sushi to celebrate our marriage, and the experience was absolutely unforgettable. We mentioned that we had just gotten married, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special with complimentary items and such thoughtful, genuine hospitality. M Sushi has always been my favorite sushi spot in Durham, and this visit reminded me why. The fish is consistently fresh, the flavors are incredible, and the quality is unmatched. You truly will not find another sushi place like this in the area. Every single visit is perfection. I also love their M Sushi location. Their omakase experience is an absolute must and something everyone should try at least once. If you’re celebrating something special or just want the best sushi around, M Sushi is the plac
What a great place for a great lunch. I have had dinner there also and it was fantastic. Daniel our sever was excellent and extremely helpful in offering suggestions. Enjoy all.
M Sushi Durham is a true culinary delight. From the moment I walked through the doors, I could tell I was in for something special. The 13-piece nigiri omakase, priced at $75, is an exceptional value considering the quality and care that go into each piece. While the selection didn’t include botan ebi, ikura, or uni, every slice of fish that was presented was remarkably fresh and thoughtfully balanced with perfectly seasoned, warm rice. The restraint and precision in the preparation show real confidence in the ingredients. If there’s one critique, it’s the restaurant’s fondness for the utilization of fried green onions and shallots on its nigiri. A touch less of those, and a return to the clean simplicity of soy sauce or sea salt, would allow the natural flavor of the fish to shine even m
This is a hidden little spot for sure. If you are trying to find it look down the alley by the Durham Hotel. The sign for the restaurant is not too big, so it can be easily missed. Food for the price was ok I am a sushi critic and this was good but not something i would say really order again. The ambience was a vibe. I would recommend getting a reservation. They do have very limited seating. Parking garage is about less than one block away. On the weekends, I guess after a certain time is free because we were able to get out of the deck without paying.
