Los Parilleros

There were several Mexican style restaurants at this exit off I-55. This particular one was quite a treat. With an extensive menu and a quiet lunch ambiance (when we were there), the quick service and good food were a win. This restaurant had more vegetarian options than most Mexican restaurants. And of course, all the meat, but cooked well. I had the cilantro enchiladas, which were incredibly tasty. If you enjoy cilantro, as I do, the bold bitterness was a perfect match for the sweeter veggies within. My travel-mate had a lovely, seared steak, which was cooked to a juicy perfection. For a quick 30-minute stop on our way north, this ranks a "recommend."

If I could leave 0 stars I would!! This was the worst mexican food I’ve ever had! The food had 0 flavor and the salsa tasted like canned tomato sauce! The queso had the consistency of water and no flavor!

The place is awesome they brought out very much food very quickly and it was good! I got the carnitas

So many items on the menu, I was unfamiliar with. My husband enjoyed the steak fajitas. I had!I had the shrimp enchiladas, which was good as well. The service was good, just that they seemed to have to been a bit short handed. The Foo and service is good,but be prepared to wait a while for your food . They have salsa and chips while you wait...but the salsa was a bit hot for me.

It's ok. The chips are good. The salsa is average. The meat in the burritos and tacos is just hamburger with a small amount of seasoning. They could use a little kick in the seasoning area. It was good just a little bland. They have decent portions for the price. I'm from SouthEast Teaxs so it's definitely not the Mexican food I'm used to.
