Unique place to stay! We were only there for one night, but the room was great, beds were comfortable, and location was perfect for us. We didn't stay for breakfast since we were meeting other family early in the morning, but I'm sure it would have been good. Five of us stayed in one toom and I was truly impressed with the space we had (Maisonette Suite). I wish we would have had more time to enjoy the place more and look around. If we are traveling back to Appomattox in the future, I will definitely be looking at this place.
We loved our stay at Longacre. Our host was gracious, the breakfasts were great, and the room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Longacre is minutes from the Appomattox Court House National Historical Park, where we learned so much about our nation's history. We also drove over to Thomas Jefferson's fascinating Poplar Forest, which is about half an hour away. This is a beautiful part of the country, with deep history.
My wife and I stayed here for a overnight stay while in the Appomattox area. The building is beautiful and the team running it were amazing. We stayed in the Maple room and it was perfect, quite and spacious. The morning tea and breakfast was amazing. If back in the area and need accommodation I will be staying here.
This little B&B looked lovely in the photos on this site. The bedroom looked spacious and welcoming, with a large bed, two twin beds, and a cheerful paint job. I booked two nights. I understood there might be normal stairs and a normal bathroom situation. Indeed, the place is lovely and centrally located. The inside main rooms are nicely decorated and inviting. However, the room we were assigned looked nothing like the ones on the photos on this site. The stairs and bathroom were the biggest problems! First, the stairs. They are located in a back nook of the house and go to a snug little attic suite. The stairs are spiral and ladder-like. They are not at all acceptable for people who have any issues climbing a ladder. The next step is to go inside of the bedroom. It is a very
Beautiful little inn with tons of character and lots of comfy places to sit. Breakfast is simple fare but delicious. More low carb items would be great, but they have lots of hard boiled eggs. Easy to find and close to the historic locations.
