Hoof & Feather BBQ by Wolf Creek Farms

My wife and I stopped here on a visit to Appomattox Courthouse and stopped because of the previous reviews. We got the pulled pork sandwiches with hot barbecue and they were delicious. The pork was moist and perfectly cooked, and the mac and cheese was creamy and very cheesy. The real star was the hush puppies, which had a perfect texture and breading. My wife said they might be the best hush puppies she’s ever had. Well definitely stop by again if we’re in the area, and you should too. Perfect meal to take out to one of the historic sites nearby. The owner talked about possibly getting a brick and mortar restaurant, and I really hope they do.

My partner and I had a fantastic time trying out Hoof & Feather BBQ while cruising through town! The owner took the time to explain his commitment to sourcing meat from his own and neighboring farms, which really added a personal touch to the experience. The chili cheese fries were exceptional. The burger was juicy and well seasoned, while the hush puppies were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside. The picnic tables were a nice addition, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful fall day alongside the amazing food. Highly recommend stopping by if you get the chance!

Excellent food! BBQ was so good that we forgot to take a picture of it. The Mac & Cheese was delicious. The fries were very crispy. All in all very good.

Born a southerner, transplanted to Ohio, have deeply missed good bbq. Here to be found in Appomattox is Magnificent Virginia bbq. Will definitely return…
