LOL Sushi

The sushi and roll platter was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. The fish was soft and flavorful, and the rolls were well-balanced with just the right amount of rice. Everything looked neat and colorful on the plate. It’s a great choice for sharing or enjoying on your own. I’d definitely order it again!

Although Japan’s cuisine is complex and diverse, for most Americans, Japanese food is synonymous with sushi, which actually refers to the seasoned rice on which the raw fish is served, not the fish itself. While in the US, it always calls forth the images of California rolls, which evolved in Los Angeles in the 1960s using local avocados paired with crab meat to replace hard-to-find fresh, fatty tuna and spiral rainbows of fish. Sushi continues to evolve and grow as more and more establishments learn to appreciate its simple yet complex nature. Located in Royal Plaza, shared with two other stores off of Bergen Blvd in Fort Lee, LOL Sushi is family owned/family operated, and we came for an Elite event thanks to Sara and the Yelp team. It’s a cute hole in the wall place. They have one large table for sitting in and it’s mostly a take out place. We came here on Labor Day and it was not very busy so we got a chance to sit down and talk to the owners. Very nice place. It did not feel like we were at a restaurant rather at their house having dinner. Miso soup was very good and we got 4 rolls- kamikaze roll, Bergen blvd roll, pimp my roll and lava roll. We also tried 3 pieces of takoyaki and it was delicious. It’s def a come back place!

I have found the perfect sushi take out restaurant. Up in Fort Lee NJ LOL Sushi is a must try takeout sushi!!! I met the owner Bo ( sorry my friend if I misspelled it) she was so warm and welcoming when I entered the store. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and the heavenly roll. I actually was indecisive on what to get because everything sounded delicious. The rolls are freshly made to order. One of the main things that made me appreciate this place was that it's a family affair. Bo and her husband, mom in law , friend and son where all working diligently. Which for me that's the best part seeing a loving family working together which then pours the love onto the menu item making it a delicious meal. Always fresh and delicious food! When we have a family gathering or friends come over, have ordered the platter here to make everyone happy and enjoying foods! Food decoration is always awesome too!
