Log Cabin Tavern

I actually love this place. On the night I went, the live music drove me outdoors where the nice fireplace had wet wood and the heater was out of fuel. Drinks they bring you, gotta go to the bar to order food. Which is pretty good btw. I had the ribeye.

We were passing through and decided to try someplace new time around. We were drawn by the other reviews since we wanted to stay casual. The vibe is definately one of your best buddy's log cabin on a hot summer night. After waiting about 15min, I approached the lovely couple at the table next to ours and discovered that there was no table staff. I had to order up at the bar, with the very busy bartender. We ordered the Crab Cakes, Southern Grilled Chicken sandwich, Giardiniera Chicken sandwich (special of the day), and an ANGRY ORCHARD apple cider. The food reminds me of a friend's offering of their best recipes at a large outdoor gathering. They don't try to be anything that they aren't. I liked that about this place. 08/12/2024 We had excellent service. I had a garlic burger with fries. My husband had the special which was a BBQ rib sandwich topped with slaw, came with their house chips. Everything was delicious. I must add that the chips were by far the best we've had. Perfectly cooked, crispy not hard and chewy like others we've had. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating areas are very nicely done.

Food was ok but service was slow. Table space was limited and it was awkward as it was self seating and may seats were taken by people not actually sitting or even eating at tables. They had many games: pool, video gaming, and darts but it really ate into seating space. I have been to many bars of a similar size where this wasn't an issue. (Maybe consider removing darts for more table space). Also bar stool tables aren't comfortable for 90% of people. Giving a generous 3 here.

A very homey vibe. A bit smaller on the inside then I expected but the food was great. The lady who got the food for us was nice. We will definitely go back.
